We’re approaching the two year mark from when Elden Ring was revealed. Rumors have been swirling that the game will see its grand re-reveal relatively soon, and a high-profile trailer leak has also given us a small look at what the game will look like. And for those that watched it, you almost assuredly picked up on the Souls-like vibe. Well, that won’t be all Souls veterans will be picking up on, apparently.

Well known From insider/leaker Omnipotent returned to the popular gaming forums, ResetEra, to shed some extra light on things. They didn’t comment much on when the next big news would come, but when asked about two aspects of the game, they had some answers. First up, they said that the game will have online, such as PvP, that is similar to the Souls franchise. When it came to the classes, they also confirmed that it was very similar to what Souls fan would know, saying, “Same system that’s been used in all the Souls games up til now. Starting classes but beyond that you can do whatever.” So for those who were worried that From’s last game, Sekiro, not having those would be a trend, it doesn’t seem to be the case here.

While we also mark all types of leaks and things of that nature as rumors, Omni has been a very reliable source of From information in the past. Elden Ring was announced in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. As of now, nothing else official has been said about a launch date or platforms.
