Despite the launch of Gran Turismo 7, which topped the UK physical charts this week, FromSoftware’s Elden Ring still stands tall in digital downloads for the second week. Digital sales have dropped by 56 percent as per GSD (via GamesIndustry). When combining physical and digital sales, there’s been a 61 percent drop week-on-week with 42 percent of sales being on PlayStation.
As for Polyphony’s racing sim, 57 percent of its sales came from digital downloads. Sales are also up 185 percent compared to Gran Turismo Sport. Taking both physical and digital sales together, 78 percent of the game’s sales were from the PS5 version.
Overall, it’s the third biggest PS5 launch title in the UK for 2022, falling only slightly behind Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West. Guerrilla Games’ open world title is currently sixth in digital sales for the week. Check out the full GSD UK digital top ten for the week ending March 5th below.
