One Piece Odyssey Showcases Exploration, Combat, and More in 18 Minutes of New Gameplay

For fans of One Piece, Bandai Namco and ILCA’s upcoming One Piece Odyssey is looking like a game well worth keeping an eye on. With the promise of a new RPG telling an original story set in the beloved universe, and with creator of the manga and anime manga and anime by Eiichiro Oda and composer Motoi Sakuraba also involved, it’s certainly shaping up to be an enticing experience.

If you’re in the group looking forward to get their hands on it, there’s a chunky bit of new gameplay footage to check out. Livestreamed recently by Bandai Namco at the Anime Expo 2022, One Piece Odyssey’s roughly 18 minutes of new gameplay footage showcase everything from its turn-based combat to traversal and exploration in one of its zones, while also giving a solid glimpse of how its shaping up on the visuals front. One Piece Odyssey is due out later this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It doesn’t currently have a concrete release date.
