If starved for more Remnant 2 content, The Forgotten Kingdom is worth checking out, but don't expect anything mind-blowing.
The new Invoker Archetype, a fresh biome in Yaesha and new threats await in the second paid DLC for Gunfire's Souls-like shooter.
Channel Yaesha's Nature Spirits to buff and heal allies, slow and shock enemies, and gain increased damage with the newest Archetype.
The DLC sees players exploring a new area in Yaesha, dealing with the stone spirit Lydusa and unlocking a new Archetype, the Invoker.
The long-awaited feature arrives with a new Aberration Domination event and the option to craft Corrupted versions of five weapons.
Gunfire Games' first paid expansion for the shooter offers a decent new quest, a strong Archetype and some worthwhile items.
Both RPG shooters are now available to Game Pass subscribers on PC and consoles.
Gunfire Games' co-op shooter has also generated over $66 million in net sales for The Embracer Group in Q2 of its fiscal year.
Various issues, like a misaligned projectile on the Engineer's flamethrower turret and more, have also been fixed in this update.
The Awakened King is the first of three planned DLC releases for Remnant 2, and brings with it a host of new content, including a new Archetype.

Remnant 2 players will have to buy The Awakened King if they want to use the items they find in a co-op session, however.
New weapons, mods, dungeons, The Ritualist Archetype, and more await players as they contend with the corrupted One True King.
The upcoming potato mode will allow PCs with lower-end hardware to play the game at better frame rates at the cost of visual fidelity.
Pikmin 4 and Exoprimal also debuted in the month's top 20, while a couple of older Call of Duty titles enjoyed a surprise resurgence.
"There are issues with the different platforms and what they require to allow crossplay," says game director David Adams.
Players discovered how to unlock the Archon through datamining, which principal designer Ben Cureton confirms is intentional.
The newest sales milestone for Remnant 2 comes shortly after launch, which led into the game hitting a concurrent player count on Steam that was almost double that of Remnant 1.
Gunfire Games' shooter reached a peak concurrent player count of 110,856 recently. Remnant 1's all-time peak is 48,289 concurrent players.
"Potential tweaks to resources that come out of Chests and Rare Chests" and "the amount gained from duplicate Trinkets" are also being discussed.
