Destiny 2 - The Dawning 2018

Just when you thought Black Armory didn’t have much content to offer, Bungie has announced details on Destiny 2’s next seasonal event. The Dawning will return on December 11th and run till January 1st, 2019. It features the return of Eva Levante, who will assist you in, of all things, baking treats for “Friends you’ve made throughout the solar system”.

Said treats include Gjallardoodles or Chocolate Ship Cookies, and it seems there will be different combinations of ingredients that players can discover for themselves. Along with receiving rewards for hungry recipients, players will also have new Bounties, which can reward Enhancement Cores, Legendary Gear, mods, and the Avalanche heavy machine gun (with random rolls).

You can even unlock a festive Sparrow, which doles out Glimmer presents if you boost and land tricks. These effects will only be active during The Dawning though. If that weren’t enough, there will be new cosmetics in Eververse with Double Drops. This means you’ll receive a Dawning Engram and Bright Engram with each level-up. A knock-out mechanic is in place to ensure that you don’t receive duplicates. Tess will even sell bundles of ingredients, though you’ll still need Essence of Dawning from slain foes to bake items.
