The Taken King has arrived in Destiny 2, specifically its raid, King’s Fall. The classic raid went live on August 26th at 10 AM PT for all players with a World’s First race. Just like the previous two years, Elysium has emerged as the victor.
Bungie confirmed the same on Twitter, so each member receives a custom raid championship belt. The World’s First race for King’s Fall had Competition Mode active, limiting a player’s Power level for the first 24 hours of its release. However, this year’s race didn’t require completion of the raid but its Challenge Mode as well (which had unknown conditions for each encounter).
With King’s Fall officially in the books, the next raid to look forward to is in Lightfall. The expansion launches on February 28th, 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, and Google Stadia. Stay tuned for more details on its content in the coming months.
