Death Stranding

We were treated to plenty of new information about Death Stranding at TGS 2018 quite recently. From learning about many new characters in the game, to the Japanese actors who will be portraying them, to even a new trailer that featured Troy Baker’s character, there was a lot that we got to find out. Now, Hideo Kojima has posted a few updates on Twitter to give more new details.

In a series of tweets, Kojima has spoken a bit more about several characters from the upcoming game, and has accompanied all the info with art work (drawn by Yoji Shinkawa) for the characters in question as well. He speaks a bit about the character being played by Guillermo del Toro, and confirms that due to the film director’s other responsibilities, only his likeness is being used for the game, while voice for the character will be provided by someone else, which is something that was mentioned during the game’s TGS stage presentation as well.

In a separate tweet, he spoke about the characters being portrayed by Lindsay Wagner and Mads Mikkelsen, whom he dubs “The Mysterious Soldier”. In yet another tweet, Kojima posted an image showing artwork for all the major characters for Death Stranding that have been revealed so far, before going on to mention that there are a few more main characters in the game that haven’t yet been announced.

Recently, we reported that it’s looking increasingly likely that Stefanie Joosten (who portrayed Quiet in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain) might have a part to play in the game– perhaps she’s one of the characters Kojima is referring to?

Death Stranding is schedule for an exclusive launch on the PS4, but a release date for the game hasn’t yet been confirmed.
