Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s Classic Filter Works With Both Control Styles, Says Konami

Recreate the stealth classic's look, whether sticking to the Legacy controls and camera or opting for the new Modern Style.

Earlier this week, Konami provided a new trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, its remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. It also updated the official website with new details and confirmed on the Official Xbox Podcast that Legacy Style controls offer a visual filter to recreate the original’s look.

What about those who want to experience the new Modern Style controls with the filter? Konami has clarified to Eurogamer that the latter works with both control set-ups. More details are expected “soon,” so stay tuned.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Its release date is still a mystery – GameStop tweeted that it’s launching on November 17th before deleting the same and saying it was incorrect. Rumors indicate it’s launching in 2025 instead, but Konami remains coy on the official date. Check out our feature for more details on other changes, like the updated Battle Damage system, until then.
