Elden Ring Will Be Shown Privately At Gamescom 2019

The next action RPG from FromSoftware will finally get shown behind closed doors.

FromSoftware unveiled their next game, Elden Ring, at Microsoft’s E3 conference this year, and since then the wait is on for the dark fantasy title that the company collaborated with George R.R. Martin on. While previous reports have said the game will not be at this month’s Gamescom conference, it seems that it will be in some capacity- albeit behind closed doors.

According to Russian news site Igromania, while the game is not on the list of titles that will be at Bandai Namco’s booth, the game will in fact be there, but will be shown to the press in a private setting. It’s not clear exactly what form this will take, whether it will be actual gameplay or another trailer presented with commentary. While this will be behind closed doors, details will most likely leak at some point, so we’ll keep our ears to the ground.

The game is looking to be very much successor to the Souls lineage of titles that helped push FromSoftware into the spotlight after many years of being a midrange developer. Elden Ring will release next year on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
