Elden Ring – Leaked Clip Shows a Brief Snippet of Gameplay

An allegedly leaked gameplay clip shows about thirty seconds of an in-development build of FromSoftware's upcoming action RPG.

Elden Ring remains one of the most highly anticipated upcoming games, and even though FromSoftware broke their long silence on the game this Summer, fans are still hungry to see more of the game in the lead-up to its launch. A little bit of it, it seems has now leaked and is out in the wild.

A brief clip that seems to be showing Elden Ring running on an Xbox One is doing the rounds online. You can watch it below, courtesy of Jeff Grubb on Twitter. The clip is only thirty seconds long, and showing the player character out in an open field, walking and jumping around. There isn’t a whole lot going on, but it does offer a glimpse at what part of the game’s world is going to look like. Check it out below.

It’s unknown how old this particular build of the game is, or if this is even legit (though it certainly looks like it is). FromSoftware recently said that the action RPG was in the final stages of its development, so hopefully the developer will show more of the game ahead of its release. For what it’s worth, The Washington Post’s Gene Park has said on Twitter that the clip below isn’t from the footage that the press got to see of the game a few months ago (which still hasn’t been shared with the wider public).

Elden Ring will launch on January 21, 2022 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
