Fallout: London Mod is Finally Close to Launch, Developer Assures

"The end is in sight," the long-awaited Fallout 4 mod's development team says, confirming that it is being playtested by GOG.

Fan-made expansion-sized mod Fallout: London has been on people’s radars since it was unveiled several years ago, and though the wait for it has been long, its development team says the end is finally in sight, with the mod set to launch in the near future- though a release date is still unknown.

Taking to Twitter, the development team, Team FOLON, revealed that Fallout: London has “several” builds in QA testing that have been sent over to GOG, which the team is now hoping to get the final green light on.

“The bottom line is that we’ve sent several builds over to GOG for QA testing and are waiting for the final green light,” the development team’s message reads. “Once they’ve completed the process of double-checking that Fallout: London and its installer work on all supported machines, we should be good to go.

“It is in all of our interests that this final QA process is carried out in full, and we are very thankful that GOG is assisting.

“While it may seem like not a lot is going on, we can assure you that the heads of the department have been working non-stop behind the scenes during this time to make the release build as good as it can be. The end is in sight.”

Fallout: London was, of course, previously expected to launch in April, but its release was delayed when Bethesda unveiled significant update for Fallout 4 that would break compatibility with existing mods.

Exactly how much longer we’ll be waiting for the long-awaited mod is anyone’s guess right now, but thankfully, it seems like it’s not going to be a terribly long wait from this point forward.
